Principal Project Financial Analyst
Provide direct project support and some peer review oversight to others on projects within the Project Controls Department's Eastern Region.
 
Requirements
·8-10 years of project financial experience within the engineering/construction industry, dealing with both government (at least 5 yrs) and commercial contracts.
·Solid analytical skills for profit analyses and quantifying budget variances, understanding of various forecasting methodologies, and comfort with contract terms/requirements at both client and subcontract levels.
·Must understand and have experience working with project financial accounting systems (preferable to have Oracle Financials experience) with various types of contracts (cost reimbursable, time and materials, fixed price, and fixed unit rate).
·Must be able to develop/maintain project work breakdown structures (WBS) to establish project tracking from project inception through closeout.
·I t is essential that the successful candidate demonstrate ability to comprehend contract requirements as established in prime contracts as well as those established in project subcontracts awarded to our subcontractors.
·Support oversight and provide peer review services to other Project Controls staff within the Eastern region in addition to providing direct project support on assigned projects and programs.
·must have experience working with project scheduling software and must have very strong skills with Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills are essential.
Experience with Project Management and/or EVMS is a plus.
· Candidates with experience preparing and presenting financial documents in the engineering/construction industry to third party auditors, will be given careful consideration.
·Pre-Employment Drug Screen Required.
· Education and Experience: BA or BS. Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience. Major Fields of Study: Construction Management Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics
